YELLOW JOURNALISM IS TAKING OVER THE MEDIA... click to learn more!

After president Donald Trump had been elected to office, many argue, including Donald Trump himself, that fake news played a tremendous part on the outcome of the election.  Yellow journalism (also known as fake news), which is defined as journalism/news that is based upon sensationalism and crude exaggeration, was becoming extremely popular and was used mainly to capture the people’s attention and to make them feel some type of way on a certain topic.  Why would these publishers lie and create fake stories?  The answer is easy. It’s because they make money off the people who read it!

Paris Wade and Ben Goldman are a perfect example.  These two gentlemen are the founders of Liberty Writers News, and are known for writing fake news articles that exaggerate or give false information about political and current events in the United States.  According to the two, their “audience hates Obama and Loves President-elect Donald Trump…”

Wade knows how to spark the interest of the people and hypothesized that “violence and chaos and aggressive wording is what people are attracted to.”  Wade and Goldman create articles titled “CAN’T TRUST OBAMA” and “THE TRUTH IS OUT! The Media Doesn’t Want You To See What Hillary Did After Losing…,” to spark curiosity in their followers which cause them to click and open they’re articles.

That’s how they get paid!

Many journalists like Wade and Goldman get paid between “$10,000 and $40,000 every month” publishing these exaggerated articles, depending on their popularity and how many clicks they receive.  And just like any other occupation out there, why stop if the financial earnings are beneficial.  This is why there is an abundance of yellow journalists out there publishing these distorted articles.

It seems very scandalous but fake news is everywhere on our social media.  Stay alert, and stay away from these articles so that you are not suckered into believing these false stories.

I had no idea that they get paid that much a month! Your article was informative but could have been a but more detailed. Good work!
