Fake news is more than just a laugh or something to disregard, it's ruining this country and other countries around us by spreading lies and never actually saying what will happen. Next generations might not know what or what didn't actually happen in history, news networks might not be reliable anymore, and even to the point of possibly millions of people will be brain-washed and never know that fake news exist since it has become such a regular thing. Fake news will never end and will continue to be deceiving to younger and older readers. There has been a video shown how to "manipulate" people's faces to make it look like they say what you want them to say, and if that becomes more perfected, fake news will look even more believable. The video shows "actors" who connect their face to a device that will connect to another one's face and move it
accordingly to the real person. It is called "The Digital Emily Project", it is very scary and can be very realistic if perfected and actual voice being added. Fake news has boomed this year but it's going to grow in the next years to come.
Your example of the video that shows the actors that can manipulate other's faces.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on fake news being around in the future. Fake new has been around for a very long time and became very popular in the United States during the Spanish-American War when the U.S.S Maine exploded in the Cuban harbor. It fell off the map and came back to the public eye during the election and being used so frequently by President Trump, as you stated.
