The future of “Fake News” is something that is going to be
interesting with these "Fake" articles on the rise. Fake News
will take a huge turn in the coming years with the apparent rise of these
fake articles but I feel that it will never really disappear in fact it will
still be there, just classified. The only thing that will change is sources of a news
article will change. They might start having more paired news articles where more
than one person should write on a given topic so that a reader may have a
better understanding of the event.
There is an interesting video
from MSN about the future of fake news and what to do about it.
The man behind some of this work Andrew Kiyashko, Deputy Head of News spoke
on a web site that’ll be programmed to find aspects of news articles to determine
they are fake. They focused on the Russian hackers and whether they actually
hacked the power grid. This has brought up a focus of the program to bring in
more websites into play.
This seems to be a clever idea to debunk the growing
problem, it won’t disappear altogether but it will limit the spread. It has
started and will soon grow in the focus of finding these fake articles.
