Fake news in the Future
Fake news right now is
rising and is being talked about frequently. It is a topic that has changed a
lot, especially in politics. It has made
an enormous impact, not only in the United States, but globally. Seeing how
fake news has become a big deal now, it’s hard to think how the future will be
with fake news. Will fake news continue to increase or will it remain the same?
Or will it somehow disappear?
Since no one can tell the future, one can have an idea of
how it could be by looking at it now.
Looking at how fake news is now, it will never disappear. We must come
to realize the fact that there will always be fake news. It has gotten so big
in such a fast period of time, and it will just continue to rise in a short
period of time.
This means we should be
extra careful since fake news will continue to live on. We must take caution to
not fall into the trap of fake news. How do we do that? By doing extra
research, and making sure if the author is creditable. Another way to stay away
from fake news is to educate ourselves in order not to fall into fake news and believe
it. What people are doing now isn’t much, they talk about it and say how
horrible it is, instead of looking for a solution to end fake news. It could
get bigger in the near future, so we have to find a way to resolve the problem
now while we can. The CEO of Apple recently said that technology is a big part
of the problem of fake news.
“All
of us technology companies need to create some tools that help diminish the
volume of fake news,” he added. “We must try to squeeze this without stepping
on freedom of speech and of the press, but we must also help the reader. Too
many of us are just in the complain category right now and haven’t figured out
what to do.”
According to Elon University,
fake news will continue to get worse from now to the year of 2026. There will
be more trolls and people will have more distrust over what they find on the
web. Hopefully with all the use of technology we will be able to find a
solution to end fake news. But for now we must learn to stay away and not fall
into the trap of fake news.

I enjoyed reading your blog. In response to the question you mentioned in the first paragraph. I too believe that fake news will increase if nothing is done to curtail individual recognition of truth versus lies. A solution to the problem could be educating the younger children on how to identify fake news once they view it. The importance I think in joining what you have written is that as consumers we have the power, which means we choose who to support.
